Research Assistant, Yuva Nestham
Keerthana is a research assistant for the Yuva Nestham Youth Empowerment Program in rural India. She works on data collection, entry, and analysis of surveys about the psychological wellbeing of adolescents in order to evaluate the impact of the program. She monitors the students’ progress and attendance in the reproductive health, social, and emotional learning classes that are a crucial component of the research-oriented program. Keerthana is currently a sophomore at Barnard College, majoring in Neuroscience and Behavior and minoring in History. Keerthana aspires to pursue a MD/MPH upon graduation and hopes to help underserved populations.
