Jeffrey Sachs receives Tang Prize for Sustainable Development

The Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University is pleased to announce that Prof. Jeffrey Sachs has been named the 2022 recipient of the Tang Prize for Sustainable Development.

The Center for Sustainable Development at Columbia University is pleased to announce that Prof. Jeffrey Sachs has been named the 2022 recipient of the Tang Prize for Sustainable Development. 

This bi-annual prize, awarded by the Tang Foundation, recognizes those who have made extraordinary contributions to the sustainable development of human societies, especially through groundbreaking innovations in science and technology. Previous laureates of this prize include Dr. Gro Harlem Brundtland, Dr. H. Arthur Rosenfeld, Dr. Veerabhadran Ramanathan, Dr. James E. Hansen, and Dr. Jane Goodall.
